We are looking for a Technology Transfer Specialist to support our Human Health Therapeutics Research Centre. The Technology Transfer Specialist would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
Under the supervision of the Manufacturing Science & Technology Manager, the Technology Transfer Specialist is responsible for overseeing and executing the transfer of production processes for cell banks, recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies, and viral vector drug substances (including AAV, Adeno, Lenti, and Retro viruses) from internal Bioprocessing departments or external clients to the CTMF GMP production facility for clinical manufacturing.
Acting as a key liaison between sending and receiving sites, the Technology Transfer Specialist ensures effective communication, coordination, and alignment at both technical and organizational levels. The role also includes reviewing and contributing to the preparation of Master Batch Records to ensure technical accuracy, compliance with GMP standards, and alignment with transferred processes.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in enabling the seamless technology transfer and successful execution of GMP manufacturing processes supporting monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, and viral vector-based therapeutics.

This position is classified as a Research Council Officer (RCO), a group that is unique to the NRC. Candidates are remunerated based on their expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. The salary scale for this group is vast, from $64,739 to $183,010 per annum, which permits for employees of all levels from new graduates to world renowned experts to be fairly compensated for their contributions.
NOTE: Please note that the full RO/RCO salary scale has five levels. Salary determination will be based on a review of the candidate’s expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. As such, the initial salary could be within another level of the RO/RCO salary scale (i.e. above or below the intended level for this position).
In addition, the incumbent will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
