JOB SUMMARY:Within the context of a patient/client and family-centred framework and continuum-based care model and in accordance with established standards of professional practice and the vision, values and policies of the organization, the position supports Medical Imaging Teams throughout Vancouver Coastal Health that requires regular travel between all sites including rural sites. Works in a team-based environment and is accountable for the development, implementation and maintenance of practice standards for a designated modality (i.e. Computed Tomography, General Procedures, Diagnostic Mammography, Angiography/Interventional, Radiography or Polytomography) within VCH Medical Imaging Services for all MI sites. Provides regional leadership, direction and guidance on practice activities and advancing practice, research and education by reviewing and implementing consistent practice standards and goals and objectives in conjunction with designated management and other team members. Leads the development and standardization of modality-specific policies and procedures, quality assurance, continuing education and training programs. QUALIFICATIONS:Education & ExperienceCertification with CAMRT in the applicable modality. Completion of an advanced recognized specialty program in the designated modality, plus a minimum of five (5) years' recent, related experience, including two (2) years' leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid BC Driver’s license and access a personal vehicle for business-related purposes. Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesDemonstrated knowledge of Medical Imaging theory and practice within a client and family centred care model.Demonstrated knowledge of the standards of practice and guidelines for Medical Imaging practitioners established by the CAMRT and/or other relevant national professional associations.Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality.Demonstrated knowledge of safety requirements related to designated modality.Demonstrated knowledge of organization policies, procedures and standards of care, including practice of safe work procedures with modality equipmentGeneral knowledge of Trauma Informed Practice and Harm Reduction approaches and Strengths-based care.Demonstrated ability to promote Indigenous Cultural Safety.
