Job Description
To manage a portfolio of Corporate Leverage, Commercial client accounts within the assigned portfolio in accordance with the principles of the business model, corporate procedures and best practice, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and records, as well as detecting errors and fraud.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop & maintain strong relationship with Clients at board level, maximizing client life and retention
- Keep bad debts and losses to a minimum.
- Understand risk drivers, monitor triggers and ensure risk is managed within Corporate lending credit policies and operational mandates.
- Visit clients according to required frequency, prepare visit reports annual reviews and propose remedial actions if necessary.
- Review all Clients within the periodic portfolio review meeting process and recommend action to the Risk/Credit Committee.
- Analysis of client statutory accounts, management accounts, forecasts & budgets and ratings to present to Risk and Credit Committee. Present outcome to client in robust & positive way
- Ensure Client submissions, data and practices adhere to Client’s Agreements.
- Comply with all client reporting metrics – producing reviews/reports as appropriate to internal risk or Risk/Credit committees.
- Offer appropriate support to clients on day-to-day basis and resolve queries as quickly as possible.
- Recognise & report compliance breaches, errors and potential frauds
- Provide line management, oversight, review, coaching, training and development of commercial loans officers and analysts as appropriate. Where relevant, undertaking their annual appraisal and setting their performance goals for the year ahead.
- Seek to define best practice processes and activities. Lead or support change initiatives, improvement projects or infrastructure updates. Identify areas for improvement, proposing and providing solutions to assist with improving the performance of the business.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in leverage financing / cashflow lending or similar environment
- Proven experience in relevant Financial Services environment
- Computer literate (good knowledge of MS Office suite – Excel, Word, Power-Point)
- Strong analytical & financial analysis / financial modelling skills
- Able to handle high volumes of work without compromising on accuracy, quality and client focus
- Strongly ‘risk orientated’ approach
- Knowledge and experience of working with LMA documentation
