Job Summary
Safely operate automated side-load garbage trucks on assigned residential routes throughout the Fort Pierce area. Drivers are responsible for waste collection, vehicle inspections, route completion, and providing professional customer service while maintaining all DOT and company safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate residential waste collection vehicles
- Complete assigned routes efficiently and on schedule
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Operate hydraulic lifting equipment safely
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned truck
- Ensure proper collection and disposal procedures
- Deliver courteous and professional customer service
- Complete required route and safety documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B CDL
- Clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and equipment
- Strong safety mindset and reliability
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic

Qualifications
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Waste Pro is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
This position is physically demanding and requires the ability to safely perform repetitive movements throughout the workday, including:
- Push or pull up to 50 pounds independently on a repetitive basis
- Lift up to 50 pounds from ground level to waist height repeatedly throughout the shift
- Frequently enter and exit the cab of a commercial vehicle during route operations
- Repeatedly bend, stoop, squat, and move throughout the workday
- Work extended shifts ranging from 8–12 hours as needed
- Perform duties in varying outdoor weather conditions including heat, humidity, cold, rain, wind, noise, vibrations, fumes, and odors
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in company-sponsored safety meetings, training programs, and continuing education
- Stay current with Waste Pro technology, equipment, and operational procedures
- Follow all company safety standards, policies, and DOT regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management or supervisors
Work Environment
This position involves outdoor work in residential and commercial service areas and requires operating heavy commercial equipment in changing weather and traffic conditions while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.
