Job Summary: We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. In this role, you will be the face of our bar — crafting exceptional beverages, creating memorable guest moments, and upholding the standards of quality and hospitality that define the Marriott experience. Job duties: • Warmly acknowledge guests and respond promptly to all beverage requests • Prepare and serve drinks entered into the POS system according to established brand standards and recipes • Share beverage menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests • Maintain proper bar set-up including adequate stock, fresh garnishes, juices and perishables • Minimize waste and spillage while ensuring quality product at every pour • Maintain cleanliness of bar and guest areas throughout the shift • Complete all opening and closing bar procedures, including secure storage of beverages and equipment • Attend daily stand-up meetings and contribute to a positive team culture • Keep accurate inventory; assist with ordering and stocking of supplies • Work safely in compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards • Perform additional duties as assigned by management Qualifications/Requirements: • 1–2 years of bartending and/or food & beverage serving experience in a dining or hospitality environment • Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails and bar practices; skills in Micros/ Aloha/ Squirrel POS preferred • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills — genuine enjoyment in attending to others' needs • Professional and calm composure and outstanding multitasking ability, even during high-volume service • Outstanding attention to detail — both in personal presentation and in identifying each guest's needs • Positive, outgoing personality with great conversational skills and a team-oriented mindset • High energy level with the ability to quickly adapt to changing work volume • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as cooperatively within a team • Demonstrated ability to work safely and comply with all health and sanitation standards • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs as required by the physical nature of this role Why Work For Canadian Niagara Hotels?
