Performs a variety of routine duties related to the preparation and serving of food; cleans area and cooking utensils following infection control/HACCP guidelines.
- Sets up serving area and serves customers in accordance with established schedule and procedures.
- Cleans the cafeteria area, serving utensils and equipment, following infection control and HACCP guidelines.
- Carries dishes and food between the production area and serving lines.
- Presents all menu items in an attractive manner, following sanitary procedures and maintain adequate supplies of food and nonfood during meal service.
- Informs supervisor of all supply and equipment needs.
- Greets all customers promptly and courteously.
- Completes all documentation requirements: temperature logs, cleaning schedules, etc.
- Understands standard infection control and HACCP guidelines.
- Understands role in hospitals fire, safety and disaster programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Experience - Previous experience in food service is preferred.
Education - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
