Welcome to Statewide Services and Outreach. Our programs and services are provided in the student's home district, at the Ohio Deaf and Blind Education Services and through web-based technologies for schools and families throughout the state. SSO FocusODBES Statewide Services and Outreach Division focuses on the following areas:
- Student Evaluation
- District Consultation and Providing Educational Supports
- Community and Professional Partnerships for Statewide Education
- Family Collaboration and Supports

American Sign Language Online Teacher - Statewide Services and Outreach
We are seeking growth minded individuals to contribute to an inclusive culture within this interdisciplinary team.
American Sign Language Online Teacher
Position Purpose:
Teach ASL (levels 1-4) to hearing, deaf, and hard of hearing high school (possibly including 8th grade) students attending Ohio’s public schools through the ASL Online program.
Qualifications:
Must maintain valid Ohio teaching licensure for grade level, subject area or special class assignment.
Must demonstrate Advanced level on the Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI) within one year of hire, Intermediate level minimum requirement at hire.
Work Schedule:
Works in accordance with a 185-day school year calendar.
Qualifications
Must maintain valid Ohio teaching licensure for grade level, subject area or special class assignment.
