Main Task
Supports PPM to manage all contracts for Services during the whole period of project execution:
Develop contracting strategy and ensure the implementation of the strategy throughout the entire project execution period according to CI handbook requirement
Developing contract models for EPC and EPCm service as well as all relevant services covering CI projects.
Lead contractors pre-qualification and screening process, prepare ITB document at good quality and drive tendering process according to set plan, be the focus point of service procurement activities for the assigned project;
Coordination of all contract related issues with contractors, project stakeholders and authorities. Ensure that all contracts are managed across all CI project with the same contract procedure and change & claim management interpretation according to CI handbook.
Supervision of the contract execution adhering to schedule, budget, quality requirement, environment, safety & corporate compliance regulations; the relevant Procurement Procedures and other regulatory standards as well as other internal process standards.
Claim prevention and Change & Claim Management: Secure budget and schedule by proactive training and tracking of project stakeholders to avoid potential changes and claims, strong negotiation of change orders for additional scope of works exceeding the contractual agreement. Issue Change Order after negotiation and ensure complete documentation.
Claim Management: Secure budget and schedule by negotiation of claims issued by contractors for addition financial compensation or for extension of construction time. Issue Claim Acceptance after negotiation and ensure complete documentation.
Payment: Verification of payment request in accordance with the contracts and the agreed upon payment milestone plan.
Closing of all contracts after contracts have been accomplished
Qualification:
Technical or Legal university (Law, Mechanical Engineer or Civil Engineer or comparable)
Working experience >10 years in contract management/construction supervision with leading responsibilities
Experience with EPC and EPCm tendering and Contract Management and Procurement with own responsibility for recent 10 years.
Experience with an international contractor and working experience with project execution and contract engineering of advantage.
Knowledge of quantity surveyor and/or cost estimation is a plus International experience (during university education or during professional career) of advantage
Strong communication skills, strong assertiveness, own-initiative, decision maker, strong team-worker
Familiar with Contract Law, FIDIC terms and conditions, Rules of International Arbitration
Native Chinese Mandarin
Further Knowledge:
1. Good PC knowledge (excel, power point)
2. National/international regulations regarding trade and procurement
3. Excellent Negotiation Skills
4. Good understanding of relevant Chinese Laws
5. Excellent English (written and spoken)
