Overview:
As an Associate in Payments – Treasury Services Planning & Analysis (P&A), you will play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance of our global Treasury Services franchise. You will lead key budgeting and forecasting cycles, deliver insightful management reporting and executive-ready presentations, and build analytics that support revenue growth, client profitability, and disciplined expense management. Positioned at the center of Finance, you’ll partner closely with Treasury Services leaders and cross-functional teams to translate performance drivers into clear recommendations that influence strategy and outcomes across the platform.
Role Overview:
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is at the forefront of our financial strategy, leading and coordinating the budgeting and forecasting processes. This includes projecting earnings and capital over both short- and long-term horizons, adapting to varying economic scenarios. In this role, you will support Treasury Services across Payments by delivering timely, decision-ready management reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Your work will be essential in tracking progress against revenue and profitability goals, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring tight governance over headcount and expense budgets. Positioned at the intersection of products, regions, and client segments, you will partner with Finance and business stakeholders to translate insights into actions that help shape Treasury Services priorities and the broader Payments strategy.

Job Responsibilities
- Planning & Forecasting
- Coordinate quarterly/monthly forecasting and annual budgeting activities for Treasury Services, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and key business assumptions.
- Track and analyze performance versus plan, identify risks/opportunities, and communicate outlook updates to stakeholders.
- Management Reporting & Executive Presentations
- Produce high-quality management reporting packages, narrative insights, and presentations for senior leadership and key business partners.
- Consolidate qualitative commentary and quantitative results into clear, decision-useful materials.
- Create, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc)
- Financial Analysis
- Support Treasury Services planning and performance management through driver-based analysis of Revenue, incorporating balance sheet considerations and key sensitivities.
- Drive transparency and discipline across the cost base by supporting HC planning, expense management, and allocation oversight, including variance analysis, run-rate monitoring, and investment tracking to support governance.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Treasury Services P&L and key profitability measures at a granular level—including sub-product, regional, and segment views—and support analysis that extends to client-level profitability.
- Cross-Functional Partnership / Liaison
- Serve as a liaison across Firmwide P&A, Functional Finance, Product Control, Business Management, and Treasury Services stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent deliverables, while partnering across these groups to deeply analyze performance drivers and deliver actionable, insightful analyses.
- Collaborate with teams across Finance and the business to improve data quality, reporting processes, and analytical tooling.
Required qualifications, skills, and capabilities:
- Educational Background: BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline (CFA, CPA, MBA a plus).
- Experience: At least 4 years of relevant FP&A / financial management experience, preferably in the financial services industry
- Industry / Product Knowledge: Working knowledge of Treasury Services concepts and promoters is preferred, including revenue promoters and balance sheet dynamics
- Self-Starter: Must be a proactive self-starter capable of thriving in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Partnership Skills: Ability to build strong partnerships across Finance and business stakeholders (e.g., Treasury Services Product, Business Management, Functional Finance, Product Control), with a desire to learn quickly, be flexible, and think strategically.
- Industry / Product Knowledge: Working knowledge of Treasury Services concepts and drivers is preferred, including revenue drivers and balance sheet dynamics.
- P&L / Profitability Acumen: Strong understanding of P&L mechanics and core profitability measures, with the ability to interpret results at a granular level (sub-product, region, segment) and support profitability analysis.
- Cost Management Capabilities: Experience supporting cost planning and performance management activities, including allocations.
- Client & Segment Analysis Experience: Experience with client- and segment-level analysis and reporting; ability to translate findings into actionable insights for management reporting and forecasting.
- Communication Skills: Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate complex concepts while maintaining composure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent organizational, management, and both verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills with a transformation mindset—comfortable improving processes, automating recurring analyses, and leveraging modern data/analytics tools (e.g., Databricks, and visualization/reporting platforms) in addition to strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Data Synthesis: Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize them into cohesive presentations, narratives, and recommendations.
