Associate to perform any safety checks at the start of their shift and throughout their shift.
- Prepare items for shipping using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. Bind containers with metal tape, if necessary.
- Post weights and shipping charges, affix postage or any other identifying information required for proper shipment.
- Examine and ensure all outgoing shipments meet required shipping and customer specifications.
- Ensure correct shipment of international orders.
- Operate forklifts or hand trucks to move or hoist shipments safely.
- Build skids necessary for completion of shipments.
- Drive company truck between two facilities, both located in Angola making a good driving record essential.
- Provide outstanding, detail-oriented service above and beyond what is asked for both internal and external customers.
- Possess excellent communication skills both internally and externally.
- Prior experience using UPS software a plus but not required.
- Prior shipping experience a plus but not required.
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
- Operate company computer systems
- UPS and other shipping equipment
- Microsoft Office
- Electronic scale

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
- Understand and support Company policies and procedures.
- Understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
- Active position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting of heavy items on a regular basis.
