Description
Are you ready to elevate your career to the next level? Our Utility Coordinators team, located in Utah, is looking for motivated individuals to be a part of the new growth at Avenue Consultants. As a Utility Coordinator you will play a critical role in the collaboration process that delivers exciting infrastructure projects timely and efficiently. This position offers the opportunity to lead coordination efforts, collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, and contribute to projects that will help improve the quality of life for the travelling public.
Job Duties
- Schedule and facilitate coordination meetings with third-party utility companies and other stakeholders
- Attend meetings, take detailed notes, distribute meeting notes, and track action items
- Coordinate utility coordination efforts with utility infrastructure owners on behalf of Federal, State, and Local agencies
- Prepare project documentation, letters, and agreements
- Provide document control and agreement tracking
- Follow Federal and State codes, administrative rules, regulations and requirements for utility coordination
- Serve as a resource to engineers, designers, and project managers by maintaining contact lists, and prioritizing and tracking tasks and action items to meet project deadlines and milestone submittals
- Coordinate and act as a liaison between the project team, utility companies, and third parties.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School diploma required
- 2 years experience in the transportation engineering, construction, or related industry preferred
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented and self-starter; can work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple high-priority assignments in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn, provide feedback, and receive feedback
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of UDOT processes and agreements is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 100% of the time
- Consistently operates a computer and other office equipment such as scanner/printer, paper cutter, laminator, etc.
- Constantly communicates with discipline experts, clients, team members, etc. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Must be able to perceive digital software, programs, and websites
