Job Description

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Occupational Therapy interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Sunshine Coast, Queensland. 

You will be joining a close‑knit team of six health professionals based on the Sunshine Coast, just minutes from the beach. We bring together diverse health backgrounds in a supportive, collaborative environment where wellbeing comes first. Participate in team wellness and social activities, a friendly tipping competition, and opportunities to travel to regional areas. It’s a workplace that values balance, connection and genuine team culture.

In this diverse role as a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will enjoy the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day. You will have the support of a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure. Providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological and supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Some of your day to day includes:

• Case management (caseloads are manageable, and our consultants have the support of Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks) 
• Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs and partner collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
• Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
• Complete a variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline specific allied health skills, such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments.

Qualifications

Our new team member will have:

• A qualification in Occupational Therapy
• Full Professional Registration with AHPRA or eligibility to obtain
• Strong communication skills to build and develop relationships
• Excellent time management skills - be able to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
• A desire to problem solve with the confidence to be innovative, use their initiative and achieve results
• A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and the associated health benefits 
• A current drivers' license and access to their own vehicle
