What You’ll Be Contributing:
- Create, update, and issue AutoCAD drawings and plan sets to support construction of hyperscale data centers;
- Prepare layouts using model space and paper space; create scaled viewports; apply consistent annotation, line weights, and plotting settings;
- Manage external references (Xrefs), sheet organization, and file paths to maintain stable, coordinated drawing packages;
- Support drawing management and document control, including naming conventions, revision tracking, plotting to PDF, and maintaining hard copy sets as required;
- Coordinate with CAD/BIM, design, and field teams to incorporate markups, RFIs, and as-built updates in a timely manner;
- Review incoming drawings/markups for completeness and clarity; flag discrepancies and assist with resolution;
- Maintain organized project folders and archives; ensure the right information is available to the right stakeholders;
- Participate in continuous improvement of drafting standards, templates, and workflows.
What Sets You Apart:
- Completion of an AutoCAD course at a reputable post-secondary school;
- Minimum 3 year of Canadian work experience using AutoCAD;
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD features, including model space and paper space, managing Xrefs, and creating viewports to scale;
- Ability to read and interpret civil, electrical, architectural, and structural drawings;
- Ability to switch between metric and imperial scales;
- Strong computer skills and file management practices;
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English;
- Ability to follow instructions, demonstrate a willingness to learn, and maintain a positive, team-focused attitude;
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to a changing workload;
- High attention to detail; able to work within a team as well as with minimal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Civil 3D and/or Revit.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications.
- Exposure to BIM/VDC coordination workflows (e.g., working alongside BIM modelers and coordination teams).
Experience supporting mission-critical or fast-track construction projects (data centers, industrial, or large commercial).
