You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and overseeing long-term planning at the CommScope Bray plant. The role focuses on driving operational excellence across the three teams working within a 24x5 production schedule, ensuring efficient performance and continuous improvement across all areas.
Description:
Operational Leadership
- Plan, direct, and supervise Production Supervisors across all shifts
- Optimize use of people, equipment, and materials to meet business objectives
- Deliver results across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Lead Time, OEE, and Continuous Improvement metrics
- Identify operational risks and resolve complex production and process issues
- Lead continuous improvement and waste‑reduction initiatives
Strategy & Planning
- Translate business strategy into executable operational plans
- Define Operational goals and performance targets
- Develop and manage operational budgets and resource plans
- Improve processes, systems, and manufacturing technologies
- Establish and maintain standard work, policies, and operating procedures
Performance Management
- Monitor KPIs and drive accountability through data‑based decision making
- Ensure consistent execution of LEAN principles and continuous improvement tools
- Drive operational stability and sustainable performance improvements
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Demonstrate visible, hands‑on leadership on the production floor
- Lead all people‑management responsibilities for direct and matrixed reports, including:
- Hiring and onboarding
- Coaching, mentoring, and skills development
- Performance management and succession planning
- Build high levels of employee engagement and team effectiveness
Employee Relations
- Proactively manage sensitive and complex employee relations issues
- Partner with HR and senior stakeholders to ensure timely and compliant resolution
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and safety‑focused work environment
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing organization, preferably in high‑tech, telecommunications, or mechanical industries
- Demonstrated success leading manufacturing operations, including:

- Managing large, multi‑disciplinary teams
- Direct oversight of shift supervisors and shop‑floor manufacturing personnel
- Operating in a 24/5 or extended shift environment
- Proven ability to align operational execution with business objectives
- Strong track record of budget ownership, cost control, and cost‑reduction initiatives
- Demonstrated capability in driving accountability, performance, and operational effectiveness
- Strong ERP system experience (planning, execution, reporting, and performance management)
