The Safety Coordinator will work closely with project managers to create comprehensive safety plans concerning resources, budgets, and timeframes for projects. The main duties include participating in safety meetings, site walks, maintaining budgets and work schedules, organizing, and ensuring all safety requirements for certain project are met.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Participate in safety meetings and propose improvements if necessary
Evaluate potential problems and technical hitches and develop solutions
Plan and manage safety documents and new information
Site walks for safety oversight.
Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving measures
Education/Qualification:
OSHA 30 required.
OSHA 10 with a willingness to complete OSHA 30 also accepted.
One to two years of related safety experience preferred
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Capable of maintaining strong relationships
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Team-management and leadership skills
Documentation management and ability to use project management tools
Attention to details even under pressure
Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
Other Duties:
Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Periods of walking job sites and overseeing safety.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
