Job Description Summary
The Hot Gas Path Uncoated Buckets Cell Leader will be accountable for SQDC performance of the Uncoated buckets cell. This position will lead an organization of approximately 10 salary employees including supervisors, as well as 80 hourly employees.
This position leads manufacturing of coated buckets which includes machining, NDT, and braze operations. Demonstrated experience with these technologies and with gas turbine manufacturing is highly preferred.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive a safety culture to achieve zero recordable injuries.
- Provide leadership and direction within the COE to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost improvement KPIs.
- Drive the COE OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) strategy of continuous improvement.
- Drive the Lean vision as a change agent and implement a Lean strategy to reduce inventory, lead time, and waste.
- Support early integration of Lean principles in product design & process development for New Product Introductions.
- Ensure clear & constant communication of key business / customer issues to employees.
- Drive a collaborative, cross-functional partnership with the internal customer cells and supporting organizations including Materials, Quality, Industrialization, and Engineering
- Work closely with manufacturing services to understand top drivers of consumable cost & develop a strategy with the team to improve product cost.
- Partner with supporting organizations to drive product cost market competitiveness
- Select, hire, train, develop, and provide ongoing leadership and direction of assigned personnel.
- Support COE in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment, and resources
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 2 additional years of experience in operations leadership.

- This position is 100% onsite at the GE Vernova Greenville, SC plant

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,600.00 and $174,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
