Medical Laboratory Technology Lab Assistant
OverviewSupports and/or facilitates learning experiences in the campus clinical laboratories, as well as some practice sessions. Allow for students to obtain high-quality foundational skills by providing additional laboratory faculty support.
The rate for this position is $35/per hour.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintains the academic standards as established by the College, the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS), and the Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) Program.2. Assists MLT faculty in the development, implementation, and supervision of instruction during pre-laboratory and laboratory sessions. 3. Provide one-on-one assistance to students in the areas of microscopic skills, hematology assays, interpretation of results, and correlation of findings to disease conditions.4. Attend faculty meetings and college professional development as scheduled.

Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of an Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively with students during the learning process.
- Solid organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- A minimum of 2 years professional experience working as an MLT in a CLIA approved medical laboratory is preferred.
