JOB FUNCTION
Program Responsibilities:
Monitor, paint and general upkeep of programs, specifically bedrooms, bathroom, workshop, storage areas, housekeeping supply areas, corridors and interior of building on a daily basis. Seasonal yard work such as cutting the lawn, shoveling and general upkeep of property.
Clean and inspect all areas of responsibility and immediately address all housekeeping issues regardless of department, and address with appropriate personnel.
Ensure immediate action is taken to resolve all safety and housekeeping issues.
Closely monitor all building areas through a systemic method of daily, weekly and monthly facility checklists, and visual inspections.
Ensure the safety and proper functioning of all equipment, furnishings and program conditions. Report and document malfunctions to your assigned supervisor with appropriate recommendations to remedy the situation.
Provide friendly, courteous service to all OCY staff, members, clients and volunteers.
Ensure all requests, comments or complaints are immediately addressed personally and provide follow-up to ensure task was completed.
Contribute to a positive work environment by illustrating pride in job, enthusiasm and cooperation with co-workers
Fiscal Responsibilities:
Adhere to Old Colony Y policies and procedures when obtaining supplies for maintenance tasks.
Obtain approval from the assigned supervisor prior to contacting outside vendor assistance.
Facility Responsibilities:
Maintain the highest level of safety, cleanliness and upkeep at all physical plants.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma required
Minimum of 5 years of related experience
Ability to perform minor to average difficulty repairs (plumbing, carpentry, electrical)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to assist with the restraining of residents up to approximately 200 lbs.
Visual and auditory acuity to maintain program security required
Ability to stand, walk, crouch intermittently
Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 100 lbs. on occasion
Must be able to drive, provide a safe
Pass physical and drug screen
