OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst with a strong background in financial analysis, portfolio support, and reporting within retail banking or financial services environments. The successful candidate will support large-scale financial and operational activities related to personal deposits and retail lending portfolios while partnering closely with senior managers, finance teams, and legal entity experts.

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – BMO Place, 33 Dundas West)
Contract Length: 12 Months (Extension or FTE Conversion Possible)
Hours: 9 AM–5 PM EST
Pay: T4 $40 / IC $ 46
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support financial portfolio management activities related to personal deposits and retail lending initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management to understand business requirements and implement updates to financial and data models.
- Perform maintenance, enhancement, and monthly rollovers of financial models while ensuring accurate data ingestion and reporting alignment.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies while ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy.
- Prepare and update financial presentations, reports, and business review materials using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Collect, validate, and process financial and operational data to support requests and inquiries from various business groups.
- Conduct day-to-day investigations and provide timely analytical support for ongoing business initiatives.
- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports for distribution across multiple business units and stakeholders.
- Retrieve and analyze information from existing models, systems, and databases to support decision-making and operational requests.
- Demonstrate adaptability and willingness to contribute across multiple functions and portfolio activities as business needs evolve.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis, reporting requests, and special projects while contributing to overall team objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, reporting, or portfolio support within banking or financial services environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience with financial modeling, financial analysis, and data validation.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and advanced formulas/functions.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated analytical and investigative problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Positive attitude with a proactive, eager-to-learn mindset.
Preferred
Experience supporting retail banking, lending, deposits, or financial portfolio management functions.
Exposure to Power BI, SQL, or other reporting and analytics tools.
Experience preparing executive-level reporting and financial presentations.
Knowledge of financial reporting processes, reconciliations, and business performance analysis.
Experience working within large enterprise or regulated financial institutions.
EDUCATION
Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
