We are hiring a Senior HR Generalist who will support all U.S. locations including Michigan, Indiana, and California, and will be based in our Plymouth, Michigan facility. This person will support employees across multiple functions and is expected to provide leadership and coaching in HR strategies, processes, and day-to-day generalist support activities to key business leaders and partner with global HR Business Partners. Additionally, the Sr. HR Generalist will work closely with key business leaders to drive and support all HR functional initiatives across the U.S.
The Sr. Human Resources Generalist in Plymouth, MI will have a hybrid work schedule - 3 days of work in the office and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support and provide leadership for HR activities and initiatives for the business in the U.S.
- Provide a broad range of HR services in support of business objectives including:
- Strategic HR plan development (skill planning, footprint planning, talent requisition management)
- Talent management (Management Resource Review - assessment, acquisition, development, and retention)
- Organization effectiveness (change management, leadership effectiveness and development, organization design)
- Employee engagement (in partnership with communications team, facilitation of rewards and recognition)
- Partner with the HRIS team to implement and administer all major related software systems including but not limited to HRIS, payroll, 401(k), benefits administration and performance evaluation.
- Lead onboarding and offboarding process and procedures.
- Partner with the benefits analyst to process all leave related absences, support employee questions, and ensure leave is compliant based on local, state, and federal laws.
- Lead employee relations: recommend, implement, and support clients with feedback process, and support employee relations questions, demands, grievances, or other issues.
- Partner with business to ensure employees are engaged in our plan for growth and business objectives are achieved.
- Provide functional expertise and tactical support to local and global managers in staffing, compensation, global mobility, immigration, and performance management processes.
- Facilitate solutions to employee and leadership issues, consistently implements policies and processes; and proactively develops and coach leaders.
- Coach managers on personal effectiveness, employee relations, and organizational dynamics.
- Champion an environment that encourages learning and employee development.
- Work with HR center of excellence to accomplish the HR mission.

- Manage the full cycle recruitment process for our positions and partner with leaders and hiring teams on getting new colleagues onboard.
- Third party management: Liaises with recruitment firms for specific positions as required, ensuring that they have been provided with appropriate job briefs, and are fulfilling the requirements.
- Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract the best industry talent.
- Build strategic pipelines for niche roles and maintain a network of prospects through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management.
- Support University candidate attraction strategies and drive the talent mobility process.
- Propose continuous improvement ideas within the Talent Acquisition organization and support ongoing initiatives.
- Organize company's participation in external hiring events.
