The primary responsibility of the runner is to expedite all food orders taken by the bartenders and food servers to the guest quickly. The food runner is responsible for maintaining a genuine, cheerful demeanor while always representing the Caesar’s brand positively.
- Serve food in a timely manner.
- Ensure food order is correct before serving the guests.
- Monitor tables closely and be attentive to guests’ needs.
- Describe in detail the preparation methods and ingredients of all the menu items.
- Carry multiple dishes (up to 3 at one time) in one hand without tray service.
- Passionately informs guests about Gordon Ramsay, his history, and current business endeavors.
- Refresh flatware after each course or upon guest request.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area/station.
- Ensure work area/station is clean and stocked at all times.
- Ability to work from a standing position for extended periods of time.
- Work requires 6 months’ previous food server / running experience.
- Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
- Must present a neat and professional appearance.
- Work requires interactions with customers, the public and co-workers.
- Work requires teamwork with other staff members.
- Extensive knowledge of food and beverage products.
- Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests, staff, and management.
- Knowledge, understanding and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels and other instructions.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
- Requires standing and walking continuously with a tray up to 20lbs throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift and carry 20lbs.
- Must be able to work in extreme heat during the summer months.
- Must be able to stand for entire shift.
- Must be able to access service area when picking up beverage orders.
- Must be able to converse over the telephone in an environment with loud background noise.
- Must be able to stop, bend and reach.
- Must have the manual dexterity required to write drink orders, prepare drinks and garnishes and beverage orders.
- Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
- Must be able to simultaneously handle the demands of many customers.
