The Information Systems department at IESE Business School is inviting applications for an open rank (tenure-track Assistant/ Associate/ Professor) position starting September 2020. We are looking for candidates with strong interest to develop as research- and teaching-active faculty. Depending on the stage in academic career we would like to meet candidates with: 1. a track record and potential to conduct high-quality research targeted at top tier journal outlets and 2. experience and aspiration to engage in a challenging international teaching environment at the MBA and executive levels.

In addition, the school has consistently ranked among the top global MBA and Executive MBA programs. The school has campuses in Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, New York, and São Paulo. Research conducted by the department faculty focuses on digital innovation and digital transformation. Specific topics include the impact of digitalization on business models, digital business strategy and organizational challenges in managing digital transformation, crowdsourcing, digital entrepreneurship, organizational implications of emerging technologies (IoT, big data, blockchain), consumerization, as well as collective and artificial intelligence.
We have set ambitious goals to strengthen our footprint in the research community in the upcoming years. To date, we have published in leading academic and practitioner outlets such as Management Information Systems Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Information and Organization, Organization Studies, Journal of Information Technology, European Journal of Information Systems, MIT Sloan Management Review, Communications of the ACM, among others.
We seek individuals who can strengthen and extend the research focus of the group. The environment is highly collaborative whereas cross-departmental and interdisciplinary research projects are common and highly encouraged. Qualifications: doctorate degree in information systems and management, computer science, psychology, or related field must be completed or near completion. We also welcome applicants with a doctorate degree in any business or economics discipline if their research has a strong emphasis on digital technology and its impact on people, organizations, and markets.
