

The Post-Doc Position
The Juan Antonio Perez Lopez chair at IESE Business School invites applications for a three-year Post-Doctoral position. The primary criterion for acceptance is research excellence in organizational behavior, leadership, or organization and management theory and an interest in studying topics related to corporate purpose and/or purpose-driven leadership. Ideally the candidate will have some publications in top academic journals and a strong pipeline. The position will start in September 2022; candidates should have finished their Ph.D. degree by the start date. This position will be responsible for conducting original research with the Chairholder Prof. John Almandoz, who will supervise the candidate’s work. The holder of this position is also expected to become actively involved in the IESE Business School intellectual communities by regularly participating in research seminars, brown bag presentations, etc. Teaching is not required. The Post-Doc Position is in Barcelona. Prof. John Almandoz will collaborate remotely from New York, and Prof. Yih-Teen Lee will help supporting the Post-Doc recipient in situ. Prof. Carlos Rey from UIC is also interested in a research collaboration involving purpose-driven organizations.

Juan Antonio Perez Lopez Chair
The Juan Antonio Perez Lopez Chair was created in 2022 to contribute to research on management and meaningful work in dialogue with the contributions of business theorist Juan Antonio Perez Lopez (1934-1996), who was a professor and dean of IESE. The focus of the Chair is to focus on research on the type of relevant questions about business in society and leadership in organizations that Juan Antonio would be asking today.
