Job Summary:
The Department of Craniofacial, Oral and Materials Sciences a basic science department within the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, is seeking applicants with a PhD, MD/PhD, DDS/PhD (or equivalent) for an open rank tenure-track or tenured faculty position in any broadly-defined area of biomedical sciences with a research focus relevant to craniofacial and oral biology including, but not limited to, developmental, cell and molecular biology, genetics, genomics, epigenomics, regeneration, systems biology and/or data science. The new faculty member will benefit from the research-intensive, stimulating and supportive environment of outstanding colleagues across the University of Colorado Anschutz and the opportunity for collaborations within and across disciplines. The successful candidate will also join a collegial department that is highly integrated into multiple Ph.D. graduate programs across campus. The faculty member is expected to establish or bring with them an extramurally-funded research program and participate in limited dental student and graduate student teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
· The faculty member is expected to establish or bring an extramurally-funded research program.
· Faculty will participate in limited dental student teaching and mentoring to graduate students.
· Attend and present at meetings and training to enhance professional skills and participate in faculty development activities.
Academic appointment, salary, and start-up package will be competitive and commensurate with experience and scientific accomplishments.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:
Assistant Professor:

● Applicants must have a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DDS/PhD) in a field related to biology from an accredited institution.
● Applicants must have doctoral and/or postdoctoral training within the craniofacial biology field, broadly defined.
● Applicants must have a scholarly and academic record consistent with appointment at the Associate Professor level in the School of Dental Medicine.
● Proven track record of national and/or international scholarship with recent and ongoing activity through peer-reviewed publications and presentations.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
Assistant Professor: $125,000 - $145,000
Associate Professor: $145,000 - $175,000
Professor: $175,000 - $225,000
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
