Internship – Purchasing Officer F/M

About the mission we offer you:

W1: Discovery + Admin

• Understand the purchasing department's organization
• Read and analyze a full procurement process (from need to payment)
• Discover the tools in use (ERP, Excel, SharePoint…)
• Attend internal supplier meetings
• Review contracts / general purchasing terms and conditions

W2–3: Operational Support + Monitoring

• Create / update supplier records
• Verify data (address, VAT number, IBAN…)
• File and track documents (POs, quotes, contracts)
• Monitor open purchase orders
• Follow up with suppliers (email, spreadsheet)
• Update an Excel tracking file

W3–4: Analysis + Excel

• Compare quotes (price / lead time / terms)
• Build a basic scoring table
• Track supplier performance (OTD, quality…)

W4–5: Negotiation / Sourcing

• Prepare simple RFQs
• Draft supplier emails
• Compare offers and make recommendations
• Observe a live negotiation
• Understand price structures and additional charges (fees, VAT…)

W5–6: Project + Wrap-up (Finance Focus)

• Understand the impact of purchasing on cash flow and margin
• Track supplier payments
• Introduction to Letters of Credit (LC)
• Analyze payment terms
