Sr Manager – General Accounting
What this job involves:
The individual will be accountable for overseeing and directing comprehensive Finance & Accounts processes. The candidate must demonstrate subject matter expertise in Finance & Accounting operations, encompassing all critical activities across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Accounting. The role requires supervising property accounting operations for a portfolio exceeding 400 buildings.
The successful candidate must possess demonstrated capability and experience in leading large-scale teams while ensuring optimal team motivation and performance. Key responsibilities include overseeing staff performance, facilitating team development initiatives, establishing clear performance expectations, and conducting regular performance evaluations.
The position demands extensive experience in managing diverse stakeholder relationships while driving value-added discussions through comprehensive process knowledge and business acumen. The individual should demonstrate the ability to challenge existing paradigms and develop innovative solutions, including but not limited to automation initiatives. Additionally, cultivating strategic stakeholder relationships to identify and address operational challenges is essential.
The role requires obtaining and maintaining comprehensive process knowledge while identifying optimization opportunities through standardization, continuous improvement, transformation initiatives, and industry benchmarking. The candidate must demonstrate a focused approach to adopting emerging technologies, particularly Generative AI, to achieve best-in-class operational delivery.
Delivering operational excellence to meet Service Level Agreement requirements is paramount.
The position involves collaborative engagement with business and client teams while assuming comprehensive responsibility for communication and stakeholder engagement during service transitions and account onboarding.
The candidate must provide strategic insights to leadership and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making processes.
The individual will serve as a change management ambassador, aligning closely with organizational objectives. The role requires driving organizational strategy implementation, establishing robust operational structures, managing workforce planning, enhancing skill development, and defining operational frameworks aligned with the organization's strategic vision.
Maintaining complete compliance with internal and external audit requirements and control frameworks is mandatory.
The position involves providing strategic direction and coaching to operations teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and consistent delivery of commitments.
Proactive communication of success stories and achievements to senior leadership is expected.
The role requires fostering a culture of proactive ownership within the team, embracing a "First Time Right" methodology to ensure seamless business-as-usual operations while championing change initiatives through both tactical and strategic approaches.
Maintaining attrition rates below industry benchmarks while actively participating in recruitment and talent acquisition activities is essential.
The individual will mentor operations teams in process improvement implementation while serving as an exemplary leader, demonstrating frontline leadership when circumstances require.

Employee Specifications
University Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance or Qualified Accountant in Accountancy/Commerce, with 15+ years of relevant professional experience, including approximately 10 years in managing substantial teams
Demonstrated team leadership and personnel management capabilities, with the ability to oversee large and diverse Finance & Accounting teams
Established client management expertise with the ability to build impactful customer relationships and foster collaborative behavior across multiple organizational hierarchies among internal and external stakeholders
Comprehensive understanding of business processes and offshore business environments, with requisite prior experience in organizational transitions
Demonstrated flexibility and capacity to perform effectively under pressure, multitask efficiently, and prioritize responsibilities strategically
Exceptional communication skills with cultural awareness across diverse geographical regions
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop talent, including the capacity to conduct challenging conversations when necessary
Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred)
Demonstrated capability to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvements to successful completion with self-directed initiative
Strategic thinking, analytical acumen, and innovative mindset with a solution-oriented approach
Ability to anticipate risks, demonstrate proactive and predictive capabilities while developing comprehensive risk mitigation strategies
Commitment to applying industry best practices derived from previous experience and comparable organizations
