We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer – Mechanical (Utilities) to lead and oversee mechanical works on a major infrastructure supervision project in Jeddah. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution, compliance, and delivery of utility-related mechanical systems in line with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
- Lead the supervision of mechanical utility works on site, ensuring compliance with design drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders for smooth project execution
- Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals
- Monitor construction progress, quality, and safety of mechanical installations
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and resolve technical issues on site
- Conduct inspections and ensure works are executed as per approved standards and codes
- Manage reporting, documentation, and progress updates to the client
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 12–18 years of experience in mechanical engineering within infrastructure projects
- Mandatory experience with engineering consultants in a supervision role
- Proven experience on utility/infrastructure projects (pipelines, pumping stations, networks, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of international standards and construction practices
- Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC preferred
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
