Join GenesisCare Ringwood as a Patient Services Officer (Medical Administration) and be part of a caring team helping patients through their cancer treatment journey.
Based at Ringwood Hospital, you’ll work in a modern, welcoming environment alongside experienced specialists, where both staff and patients are supported every day.
You’ll be part of a friendly team who will help you learn and grow, with opportunities to build your skills and gain experience in healthcare. No two days are the same, and your work will make a real difference.
This is a permanent part-time role (2 days per week), offering a great opportunity to start or grow your career in medical administration.
More specifically, you will:
Provide clerical support to help the radiation oncology department run smoothly each day
Book, update and confirm patient appointments for consultations and daily treatment
Process payments and assist with billing and receipting tasks
Accurately enter and update patient information in clinical and administrative systems
Scan, file and organise patient and treatment documentation
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in line with privacy requirements
Assist with answering phones, responding to emails, and helping with billing enquiries
Support the clinical and administrative team
Stay organised and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, patient-focused environment
We’re looking for someone who has:
A commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and customer service
Strong communication and organisational skills, with confidence engaging a wide range of stakeholders
The ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
Experience with patient billing systems (Medicare knowledge highly regarded)
A professional, empathetic phone manner and confidence handling a high volume of enquiries
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to thrive in a busy clinical environment
