DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with cross functional design engineering teams to transition new products to manufacturing, driving design for excellence (DFx), including cost, manufacturability, reliability, and serviceability.
- Manage matured product transfers from or to other locations, including supply partners.
- Develop manufacturing documentations and processes to ensure products are built to high standards of quality and consistency
- Design tooling and fixtures for production and testing.
- Maintain Bills of Materials through the ECO process to support manufacturing.
- Lead NPI builds and tests to ensure smooth transfer of knowledge from transferee to production team.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on material cost reduction, capacity enhancement, and streamlining of supply chain.
- Perform robust root cause analysis of production issues, implement appropriate containment, and drive corrective actions.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or above in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in mechanical and/or manufacturing engineering in low-volume, high-complexity capital equipment industry.
- Experience in prototype electromechanical assembly and testing, product structuring, manufacturing and testing documentations development.
- Demonstrated ability in managing a product transfer, and/or product transition from development to production.
- Ability to review and interpret drawings; proficiency in using Solidworks is a plus.
- Knowledgeable in Engineering Change Control Process using PLM systems.
- Excellent time management skills: ability to prioritize projects and process multiple tasks.
- Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working level proficiency in both verbal and written English.
