What is Manager Business Planning & Strategy?

Manager Business Planning & Strategy focuses on translating high-level budget and business goals into tactical plans while ensuring strong financial controls and performance tracking. It involves leading marketing strategy development, coordinating cross-functional execution, and aligning with FP&A on forecasts and revenue KPIs. The position also manages P&L reporting, board materials, and performance scorecards to guide decision-making. Additionally, it drives strategic growth through business cases, new venture evaluation, and long-term planning in response to industry changes.

What does Manager Business Planning & Strategy?

• Devise tactical objectives to trickle down budgetary plan ambitions and establishing controls for managing budget
• Responsible for development of marketing plans and working with various departments to ensure implementation and tracking of progress
• Preparing all the required OpCo board materials, as and when required, through coordination with various stakeholders in organizations
• Liaison with FP&A team during forecasting cycles for locking of revenue related KPIs and achievement strategy
• Developing marketing performance scorecard considering the overall business plan and strategy and creating actionable insights for adjusting the course to meet the targets
• P&L reporting and monitoring for all services separately provided by Jazz Consumer Division
• Develop in-depth strategy and forecast for each Jazz Lifestyle Venture separately
• Evaluate new business opportunities by developing investment cases for incubation, partnerships, or acquisitions of digital ventures
• Develop comprehensive business cases for spectrum acquisition and scenario plays for changing industry dynamics.

Requirements

What are we looking for and what does it require to be Manager Business Planning & Strategy?

• Master’s in Business Management/Finance/Accounting
• Professional qualification such as CA/ACCA/ACMA/CIMA will be an added advantage
• Experience in Telco and Finance along with international exposure would be preferred
•  years of relevant working experience
• Knowledge of Performance Management
• Understanding of Marketing Spend and its related ROIs
• Understanding of Business Planning
• Understanding of Telecom business
• Knowledge of Scenario Analysis
• Excellent ppt development and presentation skills
• Knack for working across departmental boundaries
• Strong interpersonal Skills
• Excellent grip on MS-office suite including Powerpoint, Excel
• Experience of working on reporting tools like PowerBI, Tableau etc.
