Birch Abbey is a Nursing home catering for up to 60 residents. The home specialises in dementia care, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work closely with the care team to deliver exceptional clinical care and ensure every resident’s individual care plan is met with professionalism and compassion.
This includes:
- Delivering high-quality, person-centred nursing care
- Advising, guiding, and supporting the wider care team
- Administering medication safely and accurately
- Monitoring residents’ nutritional and dietary needs
- Supporting wound care, infection control, and pressure area care
- Reviewing and completing care documentation accurately
- Ensuring clinical interventions are clearly recorded
- Leaving concise and personalised instructions for ongoing care
- Leading by example to promote a safe environment for residents and staff
- Building positive relationships with residents and families

Essential Skills & Experience
For this role, it is essential that you:
- Are currently registered with the NMC for the appropriate client group (valid PIN required)
- Have previous care home experience
- Have experience in medication administration
- Have knowledge of wound care, infection control, and pressure area care
- Have strong leadership and communication skills
- Have good time management and organisational abilities
