An exciting new opportunity has emerged with the role of Project Director Integration within the Rail Systems branch of Transport for NSW. This is a high-profile strategic leadership role that will leads the end-to-end planning and delivery of complex, high-value infrastructure projects or programs, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective outcomes that meet the priorities of the NSW Government, internal clients, and key stakeholders. The role will lead the safe, successful and financially viable integration and operationalisation of new digital systems and programs of work into the Sydney Trains operating environment, and support the achievement of long term objectives.
In this role, you'll:
Report to the Executive Director Rail Systems, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the planning and delivery of highly complex rail systems infrastructure projects.
- Act as the single point of accountability for project performance.
- Lead on national discussions of ETCS integration.
- Lead the strategic coordination and business integration of Digital Systems into Sydney Trains.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment, effective communication, and support for program initiatives.
- Lead a strong, capable team to focus on the delivery of outcomes and the continuously develop capability across the team.
- Ensuring that advice between stakeholder groups is front and centre and risks for all programs of work are represented and highlighted in all program phases.
- Developing strategies for risk mitigation.
- Ensure business requirements are accurately captured, understood, and effectively managed throughout all stages of the program. This includes understanding the systems and the organisational change impact.

About You:
- You bring a leader and bring demonstrated record of achievement in leading and delivering major, large scale and complex technology and infrastructure projects in a rail environment.
- You are an inspirational and proactive systems leader with demonstrable experience in leading large scale organisational change aligned to the implementation of new systems and programs of work within an organisation.
- You have the proven experience to build credibility and trust with stakeholders at all levels.
- You bring a demonstrated record of achievement in the effective coordination or execution of change programs across a large-scale complex organisation.
- You are motivated in driving sustainable change and embedding continuous improvement across all facets including people, process, technology and systems.
- You are a strong communicator with the innate ability to articulate complex processes, systems and regulations into simple concepts.
- You bring strong experience in implementing programs and initiatives to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- You are an expert in driving and building a collaborative culture between multiple stakeholders, inclusive of operational areas.
