Secured Issuance Treasury Specialist

The Team

We are looking for a motivated and performance-driven professional in the area of Securitisation within ING’s Group Treasury Issuance & Investments (GT I&I).

As a Secured Issuance Treasury Specialist you will work in the Group Treasury’s Issuance team. The Issuance function takes the lead in the execution of all ING’s long term (public and private) debt issuance. The team plans its activities based on the Capital and Funding plans that are created by GT Balance Sheet and Capital Management team. The issuance team is GT’s antenna in the debt and capital markets and play an important role in the continuous feedback loop between the planning and execution function.

The Secured Issuance department within the Issuance function is responsible for the set-up, execution, and monitoring of all securitisation transactions for liquidity, funding and/or capital release purposes for ING Bank. Furthermore, the department is responsible for managing the Dutch and Belgian Covered Bond programs, the placement of covered bond transactions in the capital markets and the coordination of the global secured issuance activity.

Roles and responsibilities

• You will play an important role in contributing in the execution of balance sheet solutions for capital, funding, liquidity across ING entities. Specifically you will support with the management of the Dutch & Belgian Covered Bond issuance programs, including the raising of debt in the financial markets. With respect to Securitisations, you will support the deal team with the set-up and monitoring of transactions.

• You will be assisting in managing ING Bank’s securitisations and covered bond programmes and/or for executing secured transactions for funding, liquidity and capital release purposes across assets classes and ING entities. Depending on the instrument, you will assist in i) analysing suitable assets base for securitisation, ii) performing due diligence, iii) structuring securitisation transactions and iv) managing the execution of the transaction.

• You will furthermore assist in the management and maintenance of the Dutch & Belgian secured issuance programmes (Covered Bonds and Securitisations), the global oversight and coordination of ING”s secured issuance activities in Germany, Australia and Poland and the preparation of documentation for various stakeholders (investors, rating agencies, internal stakeholders).

• You will develop an eye on market and regulatory and industry developments in the covered bonds and securitisations space. You will interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with different levels of seniority.

We are looking for the following knowledge and experience:

• Bachelors’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Law, Economics, or a related field.

• You have a good mix of being practical next to your analytical skills

• You have affinity with structured finance transactions

• You feel comfortable with reading legal documentation and are able to assess the impact to ING

• You work organised and are able to coordinate with different parties both internal & external to meet tight deadlines

• You have an eagerness to learn and to fully understand a capital markets product from start to finish

• You have strong English communication skills

• You being familiar with Bloomberg or modelling tools is a plus

• You being an experienced user with MS Office products such as Word, Excel (coding experience is a pre) and PowerPoint
