Pharmacy Pyxis Tech - Full Time Pharmacy 7070

St. Mary's Medical Center is looking for a Full Time Pharmacy Pyxis Tech.  The Pyxis technician, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, assists in the management of the automated dispensing cabinets.   The major job responsibilities of this position are:  distribution and documentation of controlled substances, control and verification of certain stock medications and charging accountability.

EDUCATION:  High school diploma or equivalent.   Passing National Certification of Pharmacy Technicians within one year of employment

EXPERIENCE:  A minimum of one (1) year experience in Pharmacy service to be eligible for the technician training program.  Satisfactory completion of the technician training program.

SKILLS: Typing proficiency; basic computer skills; good math skills; above normal motivation; demonstrated ability to assume responsibility; good moral character and integrity; ability to communicate with and present a pleasing personality to the public and the institutional staff; ability to acquire the appropriate knowledge and skills required. Proficient with Excel (preferred).
