About the Role:
Ryt Bank is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Business Intelligence Intern to join our dynamic Data team. This role is designed for aspiring data professionals to gain hands-on knowledge, technical implementation, and business logic in a fast-paced and learning first environment.
You will work closely with experienced professionals to learn and contribute to how data is structured, interpreted to inform project next steps, and also to fully understand data workflow and impact. Our goal is for data to be a strategic asset to the bank and help make informed decisions with strong conviction.

Key Responsibilities:
Analytics & Decision Support
SQL Mastery: Utilize your SQL knowledge to query and manipulate data, ensuring data accuracy and reliability while learning optimization techniques.
Modern Engineering: Assist in building the enterprise data reporting mart using the dbt/snowflake tool, gaining hands-on experience with modern data transformation.
Data Visualization: Develop data visualization skills with exposure to dbt-integrated BI platforms to generate dashboards for key metrics monitoring.
Frameworks & Standards
Problem Solving: Work closely with business and product owners to draft and refine dashboard requirements, learning how to translate needs into technical specs, learning to identify noise/signals
Business Analysis: Ensure business requirement documents accurately captures business analytics and reporting needs.
Metric Definitions: Learn and adopt the industry standards for data models and metric definitions used across the organization.
Delivery & Governance
Data Mapping: Assist in data understanding and mapping exercises for the reporting data layer, helping to structure raw data into usable assets.
Documentation: Create and maintain documentation to support data lineage, data dictionaries, and data transformation processes to ensure long-term knowledge retention.
Quality Assurance: Learn how to ensure analytics outputs are well-governed and production-ready, moving beyond simple dashboard reporting.
Learning and Collaboration
Cross-Functional Exposure: Shadow and collaborate with strategic partners ranging from engineers and data scientists to product managers.
Hard and Soft Skills: Elevate your technical and analytical standards with mentorship from junior and senior analysts, get exposure in guided stakeholder management, presentation and C-suite ready communication techniques
Active Learning: Elevate your personal technical and analytical standards by actively seeking mentorship from junior and senior analysts.
Qualifications:
Academic Relevance: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Computer/Software Engineering or any related field.
Technical Foundation: Exposure to SQL/Python through university coursework or personal projects, with a strong desire to master advanced modelling.
Data Visualization: Academic or project experience in building charts and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Communication Skills: A willingness to learn how to translate complex analysis into persuasive, strategic actions for executive stakeholders.
