Position Summary: The CMMS Planner / Materials Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities within a dynamic facilities environment. This role ensures efficient execution of maintenance work orders through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), while also overseeing materials procurement and inventory management. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and dispatch maintenance work orders using the CMMS to ensure timely and efficient execution.
- Coordinate maintenance activities and project schedules with contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Procure parts and materials required for maintenance and project work, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage inventory of maintenance parts and supplies, including sourcing, tracking, and reconciliation from purchase through job completion.
- Assist with reconciliation of purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and budget alignment.
- Utilize procurement platforms and local supplier networks to source parts and materials effectively.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets, supporting cost control and financial accountability.
- Evaluate project deliverables to ensure compliance with timelines, scope, and quality standards.
- Facilitate communication between customers, contractors, and internal teams to support project success.
- Manage and document change orders, ensuring proper approvals and accurate recordkeeping.
- Participate in cross-functional planning efforts to optimize maintenance and project workflows.
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or resource constraints to maintain operational continuity.
- Promote customer satisfaction through responsive service and effective communication.
Qualifications:
- Experience with CMMS platforms for maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of maintenance operations, materials management, and procurement processes.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Experience with vendor management and contractor coordination.
