GFEBS Operator / CMMS Admin - Construction / Service

We are seeking a GFEBS Operator to join our federal team supporting the Fort Myer military base in Arlington, VA. Fort Myer is home to the Arlington National Cemetery and our team is responsible for the maintenance and service of the HVAC mechanical and HVAC Controls (Building Automation Systems) for over 100 buildings and residences across the base. This position will be responsible for opening and closing maintenance work requests, creating work order forms and reports using the Army’s GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System) system, answering incoming phone calls and emails to process maintenance and service requests. Under general direction, schedules the day to day activities of the facility maintenance teams.  Responsible for processing and administering all work order requests, customer trouble calls and the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).  Follows up, as needed, to assure customer satisfaction to work order requirements.

Pay Range: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday, Day shift hours
Benefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment
Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays per calendar year
Travel Required: None, all work is based at this location

 

As a GFEBS Operator / CMMS Admin, you will:

 

• Receive all written and electronic customer work requests, verifies completeness of all entries, enter information into CMMS, issues work order ticket, determines appropriate supervisor and closes work orders upon completion.
• Communicates with requestor to determine total scope of work and priority of the work to be performed. Keeps requestor apprised as to the status of the work order until completion.
• Administers the preventative maintenance tracking and documentation programs, assigns and distributes the work to the appropriate supervisor, reviews scope and frequency of assignments with the supervisor and makes changes where required.
• Acts as contact/liaison between Operations & Maintenance (O&M) staff and the requesting department for the planning and scheduling of work performed by O&M site team.
• Attends daily/weekly meetings with facility maintenance management to develop the next day/week’s schedule, reviews the status of scheduled work orders, and discusses new, incoming work orders.
• Submits written notifications to departments to coordinate upcoming shutdowns.
• Utilizes computerized maintenance management system to manage work orders history and track job status and repair costs.
• May identify opportunities to improve process, planning or performance through analysis of work order flow, project demands and expectations.
• Utilizes CMMS to provide formal system for planning, completing, and reporting facility maintenance activities.
• Coordinates LAN/WAN network connectivity issues with the customer’s IT department.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards.
• Performs other duties as required.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of progressive experience in scheduling/planning activities.
• 2+ years of CMMS experience or equivalent
• Proficiency working the Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management and customer interface skills
• Problem solving and innovative resolution ability and the ability to be a highly effective team member
• The ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances and/or badges as required to perform site duties. (This involves a background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit check.)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with the Army’s GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System) system
• IT software support or facility maintenance support preferred.

 

Preferred Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
