onsemi in ISMF is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and results-driven Factory Automation Engineering professional to become part of our operations team. We are looking for a qualified Factory Automation Engineer who designs, develops, modifies and integrates computer-controlled electronic and mechanical systems for the automation of industrial tasks and enhancement of manufacturing, processing or production equipment. Applies advanced electronic control systems, designs and assists in the manufacture of consumer products and in the development of new electro-mechanical concepts for new product lines. Responsible for assembling components, preparing test plans and supporting testing and validation of products.
• Design, develop, modify, and integrate hardware and software solutions to enhance operational efficiency through improvements in OEE, quality, and overall productivity.
• Implement and deploy automation technologies, including robotics, automated vision systems, material-handling robots, and AI/Machine Learning software, into production IoT ecosystems.
• Upgrade and enhance existing tools and systems to achieve objectives and meet requirements established by both internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage the development of new integrated or stand-alone equipment, leveraging the latest technologies while ensuring compliance with semiconductors, cleanroom, and ESH standards.
• Lead and manage end to end project execution, ensuring milestones are achieved. Maintain rigorous control over project costs in alignment with initial budgets.
• Maintain up to date project specifications and documentation, including revision history and requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review concepts and design proposals from internal teams and external vendors to ensure technical quality and manufacturability. Serve as the key point of contact for design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and cross functional technical discussions.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
• Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience in automation projects. Project management experience is an added advantage.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical or electrical design (including CAD tools) or software programming (such as PLC or C#).
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Product/Process Development is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers.
• Strong command of English and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and appropriately for different audiences.
• Strong planning, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Self driven, proactive, and able to work with minimal supervision.
