Are you our next Full Professor in Process Mining in the Software Systems Engineering Section at DTU Compute?
At DTU we believe that process mining is a key field to understand and improve complex systems. We believe that foundational research in this area is needed, and that it can be a catalyser for interdisciplinary research across multiple scientific engineering disciplines.
The section believes that process-centric approaches should be rooted in formal methods. Indeed, the section has formal methods as a stronghold area in itself, and we explore novel interplays between formal methods and process mining.
With this position, we invite candidates who wish to take a leading role in advancing and shaping the area of process mining at DTU. Our ambition is to be recognized as an international leading research group.
This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the strategic direction of our research, contribute to curriculum development, and strengthen our international position in the field.
We offer research autonomy in a vibrant, supportive, collaborative and international research environment in which diverse scientific perspectives, curiosity and collaboration are valued.
Responsibilities
You will be conducting scientific research at the international level, publishing your results in highly reputed conferences and journals. You are expected to maintain and expand strong international collaborations with leading research groups.
You will be seeking opportunities to lead collaborative, funded research projects with academia and/or industry, to foster innovation and real-world impact of process mining techniques. You will be initiating and leading initiatives that involve colleagues within the section and across DTU.
You will have a leading role in the development of our research-based teaching portfolio at the bachelor, master, and PhD levels. You will be responsible for the teaching of courses and supervision of students. You must be enthusiastic about teaching and interacting with students.
You will be a team player in the section, and you will participate actively in joint activities aimed at developing the department and the section. We value collaboration, intellectual curiosity, and diverse scientific perspectives, and we offer a supportive research environment.
