The Role

We are seeking a commercially astute Finance & Business Performance Manager to partner with operational leaders and deliver financial integrity, insight, and performance across a key account.

This is not a back-office finance role. You will be embedded in the business, translating data into actionable insights, influencing decision-making, and driving profitability across multiple sites.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Financial Leadership & Reporting

• Lead end-to-end financial reporting including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
• Deliver accurate, timely monthly reporting and executive insights
• Provide clear variance analysis and performance commentary
• Maintain strong financial controls and audit readiness

Commercial & Performance Insight

• Analyse contract performance, margins, labour utilisation, and cost drivers
• Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve profitability
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and performance reporting frameworks
• Support pricing, tenders, and commercial decision-making

Planning & Forecasting

• Lead budgeting and rolling forecast cycles
• Partner with operational leaders to drive accountability and accuracy
• Build financial models to support strategic planning and contract renewals

Operational Business Partnering

• Act as a trusted advisor to operational and site-based leaders
• Translate financial data into practical, operational actions
• Challenge and influence cost control, productivity, and performance outcomes
• Build financial capability across non-financial stakeholders

Governance & Risk

• Ensure compliance with financial policies and contract obligations
• Identify and mitigate financial and commercial risks
• Support audit processes and maintain robust internal controls

About You

You are a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in operational environments and enjoys influencing outcomes.

You will bring:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
• CA / CPA / CIMA (or working towards)
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
• Ability to engage, challenge, and influence non-financial stakeholders
• A desire to travel to site to understand our operations and our perople

Highly regarded:

• Experience in resources, facilities management, or contract-based environments
• Exposure to multi-site or remote operations
• Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
