Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 4:30 PM – 2:30 AM | Fridays as needed (Fluctuating Market Demands)

The Veneer Production Associate plays a critical role in the early stages of our manufacturing process. This hands-on position is responsible for identifying, grading, sorting, and stacking veneer sheets while ensuring quality control and efficient workflow. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, grade, and remove veneer sheets based on size, thickness, and quality as they move along the conveyor system in accordance with production standards
Hand-stack veneer sheets in an organized and precise manner to support efficient material flow and minimize waste
Inspect veneer for defects such as knots, splits, and warping, and determine proper grading for further processing
Assist with the handling and feeding of veneer materials into production equipment
Maintain a clean and safe work area by removing debris and checking that equipment is functioning properly
Monitor material flow on the conveyor system and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency and product quality
Participate in routine maintenance checks and promptly report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
Assist with end-of-shift cleanup and support smooth equipment shutdown procedures

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods
Comfortable working in a mill or industrial setting with varying temperatures and noise levels
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
