ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Amref is implementing the Improving Primary Health Care through Evidence-Based Planning: To provide technical assistance to Ministries of Health Public Hygiene through the Delivery Unit (DU) to strengthen health system planning and resource allocation for population needs in Senegal paying special attention to Primary Health Care (PHC). The program seeks to support national health financing reforms, align policy implementation, and integrate public sector priorities into program delivery.
JOB PURPOSE
The Project Officer/Coordinator will provide support to leadership and policy support in health financing reforms, focusing on resource tracking, domestic resource mobilization, strengthen the use of evidence in developing realistic budgets and sustainable financing for primary health care (PHC). This role will strengthen government and partner capacity in budget analysis, financial tracking, and expenditure monitoring, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources to improve health outcomes. The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening of primary health care (PHC) as a priority program to help government make progress towards the realization of Universal Health Coverage (UHC).
