Position: Assistant Manager – Operations Quality Assurance

Role Purpose
To ensure consistent product quality, process compliance, and operational excellence across manufacturing operations by implementing and sustaining robust Quality Assurance systems aligned with global standards, TPM practices, and ISO certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) across Operations.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, inspection plans, and quality standards.
- Drive process improvements using SPC, FMEA, Six Sigma and Lean tools.
- Support and drive TPM Quality Maintenance (QM) pillar activities to achieve zero defects and zero breakdown impact on quality.
- Manage non-conformances, CAPA, and customer complaints.
- Conduct internal and external audits ensuring ISO compliance.
- Ensure supplier quality and incoming inspection controls.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Global Production Centers, and Supply Chain teams.
- Analyze quality KPIs and present reports to management.
- Lead QA team and conduct training programs.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality systems.
- Understanding of TPM concepts with focus on Quality Maintenance (QM) pillar.
- Expertise in SPC, FMEA, MSA, 8D, CAPA.
- Ability to drive zero defect culture using Kaizen and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership and team management capability.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical / Instrumentation / Production Engineering.
- 14-18 years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance.
- Hands-on exposure to TPM implementation (QM pillar preferred).
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor (Must) / Six Sigma certification preferred.

- Reduction in defects and rejection rates.
- CAPA closure effectiveness.
- Audit compliance scores.
- Customer complaint reduction.
- Improvement in First Pass Yield (FPY).
- Progress in TPM QM pillar metrics (defect reduction, process capability).
