In this role, you'll:
- Provide critical support to Portfolio Ministers and Senior Executives by delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality parliamentary responses aligned with government policies and priorities.
- Engage proactively in strategic planning, manage the Budget Estimates programme, and deliver real-time parliamentary support to enable informed decision-making.
- Lead projects and business improvement initiatives to enhance systems, processes, and workflows, ensuring best-in-class delivery of parliamentary services.
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager, Parliamentary Liaison and Parliamentary Liaison Managers, driving innovation and continuous improvement across the team.

- Critically review and quality assure parliamentary responses and submissions, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with policies and legal requirements, while providing constructive feedback to maintain excellence.
- Champion process improvement by applying project management methodologies to strengthen standard operating procedures and optimise team performance.
- Foster a collaborative, client-focused culture, working across units within the Government and Parliamentary Liaison Branch and Transport divisions to deliver seamless, coordinated support.

About you
We are looking for a proactive leader with strong project management skills and a passion for continuous improvement. You’ll bring your exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities, with a focus on collaboration and problem-solving, supported by a deep understanding of parliamentary operations, procedures, and protocols, with the ability to navigate complex issues confidently.
Skills and experience -
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex and sensitive parliamentary matters, with strong understanding of government processes, parliamentary procedures including budget estimates, and regulatory requirements to navigate politically sensitive issues.
- Proven ability to lead, guide, and support a high-performing enabling services team, fostering a collaborative and client-focused environment.
- Excellent written, authoring and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to draft clear, professional well-crafted customer responses and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and SMEs
- Excellent stakeholder management and strategic planning skills, with the ability to anticipate parliamentary priorities and proactively support Ministers.
