Reporting into the Supply Manager, your key focus will be managing the flow of Fresh Produce from our suppliers, through our national DC network and into stores. You will work cross-functionally across a product portfolio with merchandise, operations, quality teams and multiple suppliers to deliver excellent in-store availability, quality and freshness. You will drive end to end efficiencies in your portfolio through optimising order plans to meet anticipated demand and minimise waste. As a Supply Planner, you will also have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions for supply chain operational issues across supply, distribution and transport.
You’ll also:
• Partner with internal logistics teams to deliver supply performance KPIs and prepare contingency plans in the event of unknown supply delays.
• Influence and work cross functionally with distribution centres, transport providers and supply chain operations to help improve service levels.
• Proactively seek and identify opportunities to improve the end-to-end supply chain and manage the implementation of initiatives.
You will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions to solve supply network operational issues across distribution and transport. This is an exciting opportunity with the ability to have genuine impact in the work you will do.
You will also have:
• Demonstrated experience in a Supply Planning role, with developed planning and analytical skills
• Proven understanding of Supply Chain finance
• Ability to manage multiple projects, where process optimisation and cost reduction has been a focus
• Advanced problem-solving capability, with the ability to question process and come up with ideas to mitigate supply risks
• Experience in managing supply chain network models and system levers to achieve supply metrics
• An innate set of skills in negotiation, procurement, and contract management, including setting up new supply agreements
• A high proficiency for communication, catering for a variety of stakeholder levels including overseas vendors and internal stakeholders
