The Marketing and Communications Office is a collaborative team of passionate professionals united by a shared goal to inspire people to choose Murdoch. Working closely together, the team delivers integrated brand, marketing, and communications strategies that strengthen the University’s reputation, support future growth and lead impactful employee communications.
As a team, they bring to life the stories and achievements of Murdoch University’s academics, researchers, staff, and students connecting with local communities as well as domestic and international audiences.
Your New Role!
Reporting to the Acquisition Marketing Manager, the Acquisition Marketer is responsible for developing and delivering targeted marketing initiatives that support the University’s strategic and commercial objectives.
As part of the Marketing and Communications Office (MCO), you will contribute to the University’s brand and marketing strategy, with a focus on promoting disciplines and course offerings across domestic and international markets. You will work collaboratively with the Acquisition Marketing Manager, Schools, Future Students team and the International Office.
In this role, you will deliver audience-focused, data-informed marketing activities, ensuring performance is measured and aligned to broader MCO priorities. You will also engage effectively with stakeholders across the University to build strong partnerships and support shared goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement acquisition marketing activities to attract prospective students and strengthen the Murdoch brand in target markets.
Partner with Schools to support marketing initiatives for existing programs and new course launches.
Track and report on marketing performance across channels, using insights to inform future activity.

This Fixed Term (14 Months) | Full Time (37.5 hours per week) attracts a remuneration of $99K – $109K (pro rata) plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.

What you’ll bring to the role:
Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience in a marketing or similar role.
Proven ability to develop and deliver effective marketing plans and campaigns, including preparing briefs and requirements to support business objectives within a broader marketing strategy.
Strong understanding of marketing best practices across multiple platforms, channels, and target markets.
Experience managing external partners such as creative, digital, and media agencies to achieve campaign outcomes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience in copywriting, performance reporting, and presenting insights to diverse audiences.
