We're seeking someone to join our US Regulatory Control Team as Regulatory Capital Calculation Analyst. The Regulatory Controllers' team is responsible for preparing Capital and Risk Weighted Assets related internal management reporting and other financial analysis for Morgan Stanley's Business Units. The group liaises with Regulatory Reporting teams in New York as well as with other Finance teams locally and on global level.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Develop an understanding of Finance functional area, tools and processes
- Responsible for tasks to support team deliverables, with guidance, and appropriately escalate issues to ensure timely and effective resolution
- Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
- Uphold the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
- Execute daily/ monthly / quarterly deliverables related to Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) calculation and analysis in Basel III/IV framework
- Collaborate with other departments globally and locally
- Create ad hoc analysis and data requests for Business Units
- Supported by your colleagues and your supervisor to learn your role and develop your skills
- Initiate and participate in process improvements, automation projects and innovation efforts What you'll bring to the role:
- Willingness to learn Finance principles, tools and systems
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a professional environment
- Willingness to seek guidance and solicit feedback to further self-development
- Background in financial services industry (regulatory reporting, financial and product control, liquidity, treasury) is an advantage
- Good communication skills, fluency in English
- Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-drive to learn and grow, continuously looking for better solutions to complete tasks
- At least 0-2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
