The Reimbursement Analyst supports the Reimbursement Manager and Corporate Director of Reimbursement to ensure compliance with external reporting requirements, established standards and regulations in order to maximize reimbursement and provide recommendations to senior management. This position will also ensure the consistent practice and application of U.S. GAAP revenue recognition standards, with particular attention to areas requiring judgment and the use of estimates. This position supports processes to collect necessary information for regulatory compliance and revenue maximization. The position provides research, technical assistance, and supports organizational stakeholders including senior management, patient financial services, and clinical operations. This position is responsible for revenue capture including analysis, reporting, and presentation.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation. The incumbent will possess a demonstrated eagerness to understand and the capability to expand department reimbursement breadth.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years prior experience in healthcare with demonstrated knowledge of state and federal healthcare concepts as well as strong understanding of U.S. accounting and auditing regulations and accounting policies and practices related to revenue. Professional experience including but not limited to cost reports, subsidies, funding methodologies, and internal/external financial reporting. Candidate must have advanced understanding of Microsoft Office suite.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
