POSITION OVERVIEW:
The role of Staff Counsel, Legal – Corporate/Revenue is a full-time attorney position within both Asurion’s Legal Corporate Team and Revenue Contracts Team, and has responsibility to support corporate governance, transactions and general corporate compliance matters as well as drafting and negotiating commercial client agreements. Staff Counsel, Legal – Corporate/Revenue will provide day-to-day legal support for Asurion’s product, tax, finance, corporate development, treasury and client services teams. This role requires facilitating discussions designed to consistently provide cross-functional communication and guidance for activities requiring legal support.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic advisor and project manager, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, strong time- and project-management and prioritization skills, and prior corporate and commercial legal experience of three (3) to five (5) years.

Works to support internal client needs and to act as a liaison, brokers creative solutions for relevant stakeholders.
Develops a thorough understanding of Asurion’s business, processes and goals to accurately assesses and manages risk and provide innovative legal solutions that solve unique or challenging problems.
Establishes strong collaborative relationships with cross functional teams, including legal, underwriting, finance, tax, treasury, comp, product and client services.
Exhibits strong drafting, negotiating, collaboration and communication skills.
Demonstrates good analytical skills and judgment to evaluate factual and qualitative information in complicated or novel situations.
Acts as a trusted advisor to drive results and complete transactions and projects as needed.
Actively seeks operational understanding and implications of initiatives and implements process improvements to streamline support and complete successful transactions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required Education and Experience
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the bar in Tennessee
3-5+ years of relevant experience
Experience in corporate transactions/governance and commercial transactions, including client agreement negotiations.
