We are looking for an experienced Workday System Specialist to manage the integration of Workday with various third-party systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday integrations and strong technical proficiency across multiple integration types.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, IT, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure all integrations adhere to best practices, compliance standards, and business requirements. Acting as the link between technical execution and strategic objectives, you will help maximize the value of our Workday platform while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Technical Modernization Projects and Process Improvements
Participate in platform modernization efforts including automation, orchestration, and AI integration, ensuring we keep a pulse on latest Workday enhancements to benefit our organization
Develop complex Workday integrations with internal and third-party systems using tools such as Workday Studio, Orchestration, EIBs, Core Connectors, and APIs
Maintain engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes for Workday development
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal business disruption
Execute Workday release management activities, including testing strategies and deployment coordination
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, user experience, and operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy regulations, and internal governance standards
Data Designs and Controls
Responsible for data quality and integrity by ensuring system outputs and interfaces are monitored and security is administered appropriately
Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, policies, user acceptance testing and audit processes
Responsible for pre & post system change reviews and documentation of business process design change impacts
Monitor and update, scheduled processes and interface certification keys
Ensure appropriate SSO and MFA access check points are in place in production and testing tenants
Required Experience and Traits:
Hands-on expertise in Workday Studio, Workday Extend/Orchestration, integration tools, and custom reporting capabilities
Experience with XML, XSLT, Web Services (REST/SOAP), and integration middleware platforms
Technical expertise in data management and system-related security, along with a forward-looking mentality to adopt emerging AI capabilities
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
4+ years of experience with HR/Finance applications and 2yr+ with Workday specifically
Preferred Experience and Traits:
Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience in IT, Data Analytics, Cyber or Technical focus
Workday certifications in relevant functional areas (Integration and Security)
Knowledge of HR and Finance business processes and industry best practices
Solid dedication to providing a high-level of customer service
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively organize and communicate
Root cause analysis and complex problem-solving skills
Highly collaborative and adaptable mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity and changing priorities
